TWILIGHT OPHERA to start work on third album in September

Twilight Ophera will start the recordings for their next (third) album on friday the 13th of September. The band has got reinforcements, vocalist Mikko (Thyestean Feast) and drummer Janne (Silentium/Gloomy Grim) have filled the line-up. The album will be released by Sagittarius Productions and distributed in Finland by Spinefarm Records. Release date has been set to end of the year 2002. If everything goes as planned the band will hit the road in the beginning of the year 2003.

We decided to release Twilight Ophera Promo 2001 for Public use. D/L site includes all 3 tracks encoded to 192kbps/44kHZ/Joint Stereo(equal to CD Quality). We also included the front cover, there isn't back cover as the Promo was released in "Slim" case. Please STOP begging us to send the originals!! Unless you have something to do with a record label etc...Otherwise you just have to download it and burn it by yourself. There have been some discussion of next Twilight Ophera record with several parties. There is a possibility that new material will be recorded next Summer/Autumn. We'll keep you informed.

The answer is NO! Twilight Ophera is not dead. There are just so many different projects going on that TO couldn't work normally past few months. There is some plans to get new material done on 2nd quarter 2002 though. We have also discussed possible return of Jani Viljakainen (Bass)as he has expressed his interest to rejoin the band.

New MP3 has been added to D/L section. Please take a bite of ChaosWorm! It was not add in MP3Pro Format as the codec hasn't spreaded widely enough, and it may had caused problems in some systems.

Promising feedback has been received considering promo 2001, although most of the feedback is still to come. We will soon add more sound samples to site. New samples will be coded with new MP3Pro format, this new format allows better sound quality in a reasonable size (50% smaller than normal MP3).

Twilight Ophera guitarist's Toni & Mikko have entered to studios with their new, yet unnamed heavy metal project to record their debut album.

Recordings finished!! Twilight Ophera will start sending material to labels in a few weeks, right after the new photos and covers are printed out. The first track will be available on realaudio / MP3 format soon. New photos with existing line-up will also follow.

Twilight Ophera has recruited a new vocalist, due former vocalist Sauli Karkkunen just didn't have enough time for the band. New singer Mikko Häkkinen (also a vocalist of Thyesthean Feast) was found easily and fast.

After succesful audition the band were convinced about his singing skills. Thus a combination of new breeze on the vocals and music, the sound has developed more sinister than ever.
T.O is still searching steady members (Drummer & Bassist) to fill out the vacant seats, although new members aren't necessarily needed for Studio activities as the band has discussed preliminiously with a "studiosession" drummer and bass player.

Twilight Ophera are now completing vocal sessions with a new singer and the recordings should be ready till the end of June. Right after that we will also publish some of the new tracks into the Net for Download. T.O wants to underline that the forthcoming release is for promotional purposes only.

Twilight Ophera apologizes for the lack of updates, due the internal reorganization of the band and the lack of time itself. Twilight Ophera are still working for the material to convince the record labels the band is interested in. Six new tracks are already complete for production. We will also try to get new samples for the site in the future. Let's hope that year 2001 will be better for the band...
